Sustainable High Performance = Modeling Healthy Excellence

Many leaders I talk with are concerned about preventing burnout on their teams. That’s admirable—and necessary. But here’s what often goes unspoken: 👉Burnout at the top is real too. And when left unchecked, it quietly cascades down. Here’s a gentle reminder that culture is modeled. If you normalize over-functioning, hyper-responsibility, or being always available… your team will do the same.

The good news? High performance is sustainable when leaders set the tone for what healthy excellence can look like:

✨ Model energy management. Block thinking time. Take real breaks. Get

enough sleep.

✨ Name your limits. Boundaries aren’t a weakness—they’re a strategy.

✨ Normalize vulnerability. You don’t have to have it all together to lead

well.

✨ Build in rest and recovery, not just resilience.
