Some of the most defining moments in my career didn’t feel like wins at the time. They felt like frustration. Like setbacks. Even like mistakes. But looking back, I can see the pattern—the way those “missteps” forced me to pivot, learn and ultimately create something stronger. 

Growth isn’t just about pushing forward. It’s about paying attention to what the setbacks are teaching you and helping your teams do the same. 

Next time your team faces a setback, ask:

  • What did this reveal that we didn’t see before?
  • How might this open a door we weren’t considering?
