Gotta love this truth bomb from Daniel Pink! As leaders, we often feel grateful for our teams—their hard work, dedication and resilience. But how often do we turn that feeling into action? Gratitude isn’t just a mindset; it’s a practice. And in business, it’s a powerful one. 

When leaders intentionally acknowledge contributions, celebrate progress (not just outcomes), and express appreciation in meaningful ways, it fuels motivation, trust and engagement.

Gratitude in action could be as simple as:

  • A personal note recognizing someone’s effort
  • Public praise that highlights a team member’s impact
  • A genuine “thank you” that goes beyond the expected
